New coach park to welcome Belfast visitors

Visitors to Belfast will be able to use a new coach park designed to make it easier for people to get access to the city.

It will be located in Corporation Street and will be the first designated location of its type, the News Letter reports.

Lord Mayor Pat Convery noted it will be a good development for Belfast as visitors to the area spent £451 million last year.

"This essential new facility will provide secure overnight parking for visiting the coach operators who play such a key role in bringing our ever-increasing numbers of visitors to Belfast," he told the news provider.

A total of 35 large and five medium-sized coaches will be able to fit into the venue and it comes with complete security coverage.

Once in the city, individuals may consider attending the Festival of Fools, which will be taking place from 14:00 to 16:00 BST on Sunday (July 11th).
