Visitors to Belfast may want to go to the Ulster Museum after it scooped the accolade of best permanent exhibition in the UK.The award was given out at the annual Museums and Heritage Awards, with its striking variety said to be one of the reasons for the win.
Tim Cooke, director of National Museums Northern Ireland, which runs the venue, noted the response from the public has been brilliant.
"You can see the sense of pride among our visitors and the sense of ownership in our community," he added.
It is also encouraging to see the "wider museum and heritage sector acknowledging the quality of our galleries and exhibitions" through art, history and science, Mr Cooker remarked.
An exhibition entitled Here, There and Everywhere is currently running at the location, which tried to answer the question of how objects from India and the Solomon Islands found themselves to be in Belfast.
