Various artists announced for Belfast shows

A number of high-profile acts have been confirmed to play a series of different venues in Belfast this year.

Chris Rea is to perform a gig in the Waterfront Hall on April 5th, with tickets for the On the Beach and Let's Dance star's concert priced at £30 to £33, the Belfast Telegraph reports.

The English singer will be supported by local artist Paul Casey.

One Republic, the band made famous after a collaboration with Timbaland spawned the monster hit Apologise, are signed up to make an appearance at the Limelight, Ormeau Avenue on April 14th.

The news provider noted that the Grammy Award-nominees, who hail from Denver, will also be playing a set the next night in Dublin.

It was recently announced that Fatboy Slim - real name Norman Cook - is to host an open-air gig at Giant's Park on May 8th, becoming the first musician to play there.
