Belfast hotels 'on the cheap'

Hotels in Belfast are slashing their prices in a bid to attract more people to the region, news which may be welcomed by those planning holidays to the Emerald Isle in the near future.

According to website Irish Central, various chains are offering deals, including the Travelodge, which has rooms from $28.50 (£17) between February 1st and June 6th, if accommodation is booked at least 21 days in advance.

Those intending on going on Belfast holidays may like to reconsider when they travel so that their stays can coincide with these cheaper rates.

And value breaks across the country are being promoted by the Irish Hotels Federation for two-night stays at hotels with three stars, which may be tempting for people interested in city breaks.

On weekends, these are priced from $118 per person, including breakfast.

For holidaymakers currently in the region, a visit to the Crown Liquor Saloon might be fun, as it was recently described by the Daily Telegraph as "a national treasure".ADNFCR-1390-ID-19489412-ADNFCR
