Belfast City Hall to reopen

The reopening of Belfast's City Hall is to be celebrated by a two-week long programme of events in October, beginning on the 17th.

Listings, many of which are free of charge, include a parade on the opening night, as well as a carnival, school workshops, screenings of classic films and tours of some of the city's most interesting musical, literary, artistic and architectural heritage.

The Lord Mayor, councillor Naomi Long, commented that the party is a reflection of the ethos of 'A City Hall for All', forever welcoming tourists and locals alike.

"In celebrating the reopening of this iconic Belfast building we have pulled together a wide range of activities offering affordable fun for all," she said.

Those holidaymakers intending to soak up as much culture as possible during their stay might like to visit the Belfast Music Exhibition, which is on until the end of December. The display features artists such as Snow Patrol, Stiff Little Fingers and The Undertones.ADNFCR-1390-ID-19342197-ADNFCR
