New luxury hotel for Belfast

A new luxury hotel is set to open in Belfast within the next two months, providing people flying in to the city with a great place to stay.

The Fitzwilliam Hotel, which has cost £27 million to build, is set to open in March.

It is located next to the Grand Opera House and is expected to be popular with people visiting the capital of Northern Ireland who are after a five star hotel.

Interior design for the development is being overseen by Christopher Ash, who stated that the inspiration for the hotel is not too far from home.

"The look of the hotel plays on and develops the themes originated for the original Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin," he said.

There will be 130 bedrooms in the hotel, which is owned by Belfast businesswoman June Burgess, through her firm Graffan Properties.

Vincent O' Gorman will oversee the hotels operations, having been appointed general manager.

Hilton and Ramada are among the companies which already have hotels in Belfast.ADNFCR-1390-ID-18972631-ADNFCR
