Belfast's buskers are to be given the chance to showcase their talents to visitors and residents in the city in a new competition.The Busk Til Dusk contest has been arranged by the Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce along with the Belfast Guitar Emporium and Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival.
It is set to take place over three days, from Wednesday October 5th to Friday October 7th and is the first busking contest to happen in Belfast.
A prize of eight hours of recording time in a studio, a £100 voucher from Belfast Guitar Emporium and a slot at the Nashville Songwriters Festival is up for grabs for the winner.
Complimentary passes to the Songwriters Convention workshops will also be awarded to the winner and runner-up.
All acts in every genre will be considered in the competition and people of all tastes are being urged to go along and discover some new talents.
Earlier this year, London also held a busking contest, which sought to find the BusKing of the English capital.
