Even more visitors and investors are set to jet into Belfast with the building of a new £5 billion waterfront development, it has been reported.Named the Titanic Quarter project it will incorporate a massive 185-acre site previously known as Queen Island, according to The Move Channel.
Thomas O'Doherty, director at Eric Cairns Partnership, which is working on the project, said when complete it will be Europe's largest waterside development.
"It will offer a mix of residential and commercial space which will create a vibrant community," he told the website.
"I believe that the Titanic Quarter offers good investment opportunities for those investors looking to the medium to long term."
As well as residential property, the development will boast more than 440,000 square foot of leisure developments.
Access to the site will also be made easier with a proposed light-rail transit link to Belfast city centre and George Best Belfast City Airport.
It will take an estimated 15 years for the project to be completed in its entirety.
