CAA names UK's most punctual airline

Latest data from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has revealed that regional carrier Eastern Airways is the UK's most punctual scheduled airline.

Research carried out by aviation analysts Flightontime.info, found that more than 89 per cent of the airline's flight services departed within 15 minutes of its scheduled time between January and March this year.

Rated second place overall last year, Eastern Airways currently operates out of 18 airports and fought off competition from competitors bmibaby and Ryanair.

Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, said: "Being on time is very important to our business customers and we always aim to provide the most punctual service possible. However, we mustn't become complacent and we will continue to focus on our on-time performance to remain the most punctual airline in the UK."

The independent carrier operates 800 flights each week from airports nationwide including Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Manchester.ADNFCR-1390-ID-18670909-ADNFCR
