New flights operating from Dundee to Belfast

Scottish airline Loganair now operates a daily weekday return flight between Dundee and Belfast City Airport, and one return service on Sunday.

Subject to a new franchise agreement with Flybe, Loganair has set up an additional base at Dundee Airport and has launched two new regional routes from the hub to Birmingham and Belfast.

"These two new routes to Birmingham and Belfast are a welcome addition to the growing network of air services we currently offer travellers in and around Scotland," said chairman of Loganair Scott Grier.

Dundee East MSP minister Shona Robison, added: "Connecting Dundee to Birmingham and Belfast creates a convenient, affordable travel network between three major UK cities and can only help to attract more business and tourism into the region."

In January this year Loganair announced the franchise deal with Flybe which is due to come into force in October when the current contract with British Airways comes to an end.ADNFCR-1390-ID-18664919-ADNFCR
