First stills of Belfast TV drama unveiled

Stills from a Belfast drama about the Troubles have been released for the first time, the Belfast Telegraph has reported.

Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt star in the one-off television programme 'Five Minutes In Heaven' a drama about issues in Belfast's troubled past and how they affect the future.

Acting together for the first time, Neeson and Nesbitt play characters in the story of 17-year-old Alistair Little, a member of Protestant paramilitary group the Ulster Volunteer Force who murdered 19-year-old Catholic Jim Griffen in 1975.

'Five Minutes In Heaven' was filmed in Belfast and is penned by Guy Hibbert, who wrote Omagh, another Northern Ireland drama focusing on the Troubles.

Directed by Oliver Hirschbiegal who won an Oscar for the Hitler film Downfall, the programme has no transmission date as yet.
