Waterfront director receives hospitality accolade

The managing director of Belfast Waterfront Hall Tim Husbands was recently awarded the Institute of Hospitality's Professional of the Year award.

Held at the city's Europa Hotel, the Janus Awards for Professionalism acknowledges the achievements of senior managers in the public sector.

Kevin Smyth, chairman of the Institute of Hospitality, said: "We are currently enjoying an increase in tourism like never before and are challenged with providing a world class product - no more so than with the caliber of personnel within the Northern Ireland Hospitality Industry."

Tim Husbands added: "I'm delighted to receive this prestigious award. I feel it recognises the Waterfront's achievements as a leading international concert and conference centre of excellence."

The Waterfront is one of Belfast's most popular venues, attracting visitors, locals and tourists from all over the globe, whether it's for business, culture or entertainment.
