May in Belfast sure to be pop-ular

Belfast is set for a plethora of top pop music events next month - great news for music fans heading to the Northern Ireland capital on holiday, the Belfast Telegraph reports.

Girls Aloud, featuring Northern Irish lass Nadine Coyle, will play the Odyssey Arena on May 3rd, 4th and 5th, with their Tangled Up tour.

Then the Backstreet Boys will take to the stage in the same venue - the first time they have played Ulster - on May 12th.

Next up is Irish boy band Boyzone, who will be bringing their back catalogue of hits to the Odyssey on May 26th. This gig will be followed by two dates by another hugely popular Irish boy band, Westlife, on May 27th and 28th.

Continuing the pop theme, Shayne Ward will thrill the same arena on May 29th, and for something different Darcy Bussell and Viva La Diva will come to Belfast on May 2nd.

Belfast is easily accessed by plane from the UK - direct flights leave from all corners of Britain, including London Heathrow, Glasgow and Birmingham.
