More international cuisine in Belfast

Visitors to Belfast can now have their taste buds tempted by some eastern European food with the opening of a new restaurant.

The first Polish restaurant opened in the city last week and now joins a host of other exotic food outlets including Sushi, Tapas and Thai based restaurants.

Krzysztof Choolyniecki, owner or Cracow City, said: "I've been in Belfast for three years and I missed Polish food. I kept wondering who was going to open a restaurant and no one did so I did it myself.

"I knew a lot of Irish people who wanted to try Polish food too. I hope my restaurant will bring both traditions and cultures together as they get to know each other."

The restaurant serves traditional Polish dishes including Bigos and Krokiet. Bigos is a mixture of sausages, mashed potatoes and cabbage and Krokiet is a vegetable based meal which includes mushrooms, cabbage and croquette.

The restaurant has opened just in time for Belfast's Polish Festival which is scheduled for the end of May. ADNFCR-1390-ID-18563196-ADNFCR
