Belfast Festival raring to go

The finishing touches are being put to this year's Belfast Festival, with a number of acts preparing to fly in to Belfast for the event.

Star turns at the festival include Ennio Morricone, whose iconic music has featured on soundtracks including the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

A soundtrack theme including contributions from Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood will also be showcased as well as a show from the man himself.

Tickets for the event, which gets underway on October 16th and runs until November 1st, are available now in special packages allowing access to a wide range of shows for just £50.

This will allow attendees to pick and choose what they want to see, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the other things Belfast has to offer visitors.

Theatre lovers can look forward to productions of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and A Midsummer Night's Dream, while choreographers Michael Clark and Wayne McGregor will also be at the festival.

Closing the festival will be Barbara Cook, the musical singer who the New York Times has described as "ageless and amazing".ADNFCR-1390-ID-18812333-ADNFCR
